Dry needling Upper Quarter is an introduction to dry needling. Students are introduced to the risks of DN, safety of needling handling, and anatomy review. Students apply knowledge in performing DN under the watchful eye of experts in the field. Additionally, evidence to support DN is discussed and case-based learning is utilized.
No prerequisite required.
PTs earn 28 hours CE in most states.
Advanced dry needling will review common DN and teach advanced muscles and locations. This includes bracketing of bones and near neuromuscular structures. Advanced skills and reasoning are required.
Prerequisites: 50 hours of DN education.
Recommended: 3 months of practice with DN prior to this course.

Spinal pain is the most common musculoskeletal conditions treated in orthopedic physical therapy. Lumbar pain being the most common and difficult to treat while cervical management is where therapists feel the least confident. This course will help you feel more confident in your overall approach, especially with manual techniques. We will include mobilizations and manipulations in various positions as well as other proven management techniques (exercise, education, etc).
Proficiency with basic spinal manipulations strongly recommended.
PTs earn 18 CE in most states.
