I have developed a niche specializing in physical therapy for the dance athlete, but also have a passion for working with fitness athletes, back pain, older-adult and chronic pain patients. I graduated with my Bachelor of Health Sciences degree as well as a dance minor from Chapman University. While earning my Doctorate, I gained exposure to rehabilitation in the performing arts by studying with an Australian physiotherapy clinic that services the Queensland Ballet and Queensland Symphony Orchestra.

When my love for the outdoors brought me to Salt Lake City, Utah, I began partnering with local dance studios to offer workshops, performance coverage, and injury triage. I have since earned opportunities working with the Chinese Olympic Aerial Ski Team as well as providing treatment for the Velocity Dance Convention tour. In the last several years, I have acquired certifications in dry needling and myofascial decompression, as well as the management of the fitness athlete (CMFA) from the Institute of Clinical Excellence. My mission is to conservatively manage pain and better fortify all of my patients against injury so they can enjoy their passions for a lifetime. Outside of the clinic, you can find me strength training, trail running, mountain biking, or taking dance classes in my spare time!

I received my clinical doctorate from The Medical College of Georgia in 2009 (DPT). I also completed an orthopedic residency (OCS) and orthopedic manual therapy fellowship (FAAOMPT) through Evidence in Motion and is certified in dry needling, spinal manipulation, Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS), Functional Movement System, Selective Functional Movement Screen and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Most recently, I completed my doctoral training from the University of Utah (Ph.D), where I now hold a research faculty position. Additionally, I’ve been educating other physical therapists across the nation on topics such as dry needling, orthopedic management, spinal manipulation, and pain science since 2013.

I have played multiple sports and recently retired from women’s professional tackle football, ending my 8-year career with the national champion Utah Falconz. I found CrossFit towards the end of my football career and fell in love with the constant challenge. I achieved Level 1 and 2 CrossFit certifications to help people realize their true potential. I enjoy bringing my knowledge of physical therapy to coaching and knowledge of CrossFit to my physical therapy practice.

I am originally from Hood River, Oregon. I grew up playing basketball, soccer and lacrosse and ended up playing club lacrosse at Western Washington University. I made my way to Utah for physical therapy school in 2015. After I graduated in 2018, I was accepted to the orthopedic residency through the University of Utah and VA health systems. This year-long program of mentorship and additional didactic material advanced my practice and prepared me to take the next step to become Board Certified in Orthopedics. It was around this time that I also discovered CrossFit. I instantly fell in love with the encouraging and competitive atmosphere and constantly varied training. This type of training also enhances the performance of some of my other hobbies such as mountain biking, skiing, and hiking. Being physically active is a cornerstone of my lifestyle. It is my passion to help individuals overcome an acute injury or chronic condition in order to get back to doing what they love. I look forward to doing the same for you!
